285549 - Can't find where Firefox saved my file

BUILD: current trunk Firefox build

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1)  Load URL in URL bar
2)  Select the "Save to disk" radio button.
3)  Click "Save"

ACTUAL RESULTS:
All dialogs disappear.  There is no indication whether the file got saved or
where.  If I open up the download manager, the file is listed, but not where it
was saved to.  The "open" link does nothing, the "open" and "open containing
folder" context menu options do nothing.  The download manager says "All files
downloaded to [ Desktop ]", but the file is certainly not visible on my desktop
(would the fact that files are never visible there be relevant here?) and
clicking the "Desktop" button does nothing.  So in short, I have no way to tell
where the file actually went.

EXPECTED RESULTS:
Have some way to determine where the file went.  Not presuming to design the UI
for this... ;)

Download manager always says, at bottom of window, that files are saved to
default folder, even when they are not (i.e. when I've specified another folder
or HDD), and download manager gives no way to locate the files.

I have no idea.  Double-clicking in the DM wfm on Mac, but the original bug report was on Linux.  I fully expect it's still broken in the configuration I was using then (not Gnome, no Downloads or Desktop directories in $HOME).

We improved what happens to files in the "the distro/dwm doesn't have a desktop/downloads folder" situation. "Show in Folder" and "open" should all work now. If they don't, I'd probably fix that rather than displaying a path somewhere.
