TB 1.0+0309 this is a regression since 0302

I've only seen this in a plain-text compose window, but using the steps below
the problem is 100% reproducible for me. Could easily be windows-only.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Open message compose window
2) click Attach tool
3) Type a filename (or select one or more files with the mouse), type Enter to
accept the filename (do not double click file, or click OK button)
4) Use any technique to add a second attachment (click on Attach tool or
attachment panel, or File|Attach, or drag file into window)

Actual results: Second attachment not shown

Expected results: both shown

Resize the window or the attachment panel and the panel updates to show both
attachments.

Usually, but not always, the same symptom appears for the first attachment if
that attachment is dragged into the window.
sounds like a dupe of Bug #285612?

I don't think so, Scott -- this is just a display issue, that one seems to be
about data.

Resetting severity -- didn't mean to make this a major bug. It is confusing,
tho.
Severity: major → normal

The second attachment doesn't even have to be in the same message. As soon as
Thunderbird has created one attachment, all subsequent attachments are not
displayed unless you resize the attachment pane. So, to be clear, you compose
message number 1 and attach a file. Then, you compose message number 2 and
attach a file. The compose window for message number 2 will not display an
attachment in the attachment pane even if it is the first attachment to that
message. This has been ongoing for a very long time.
