RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 187508

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1

I hope this feature request isn't a duplicate, I really did try to find another one.

I don't know if this is just on the Mac or not, but I like tabbing through
forms, but have found that Firefox does not let me do this using other browsers
(IE on PC, ugh), that I could easily tab through any and all <input> elements,
including <select> elements. If it does do it on Linux/PC, I would feel the
same for those versions as well. My memory is a little foggy, but I seem to
remember that on Firefox for Linux that it did this also...

A complete list of elements I've found that can't be tabbed to:

1. INPUT Elements:
   a. type=checkbox
   b. type=radio
   c. type=image
   d. type=button
2. SELECT Elements

Anyway, I really do feel that not being able to navigate competely through forms
with just the keyboard is quite limiting, especially on forms where there are a
lot of the elements that you can't tab through.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Using Firefox on Mac... :)
Actual Results:
I couldn't tab through a form...

Expected Results:
I feel that I should be able to tab through all form elements.
This is on purpose from bug 187508. You have to change your system preferences.

Well, I do have Full Keyboard Access turned on in System Prefs (and I always
have). It might have been turned on after I first installed Firefox, but it's
been on since a few days after I bought my laptop. I even ran
/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -p and created a brand new
profile, still nothing.

So there is a bug, somewhere. I'm running OSX 10.3.8.

This is fixed for the next release, not 1.0.
