homepage. The official homepage has changed URLs to
http://mozillachampions.ufaq.org/ .

No, unfortunately no announcement was made.
I filed this bug (and bug 285687 ) having been told that the official URL has
changed, and the mozdev site would be terminated.

The "Mozilla Champions" has never been "officially" recognized as such by anyone
connected with The Mozilla Foundation or Mozilla.org for that matter. "Official"
was coined by me when Mitchell Baker and I exchanged emails which resulted in
her being "excited" about the program which was then handed over to Bart Decrem.
There has never been an "official" announcement and therefore there has never
been an "official" homepage as such. The homepage for the Mozilla Champions is
as Chris has announced hosted on my server that also hosts the Netscape UFAQ.
Also, the project site on Mozdev is being retained by me personally as an
individual effort to post upcoming news and events related to the Foundation's
interests in Firefox and Thunderbird as well as interests regarding the shift of
the Mozilla Suite to Seamonkey or whatever it is going to be named.
