Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

l.Click on Network Device icon
2.Click on Activate button to activate modem - no response
3. Click cancel, then error message (above) is shown.


Actual Results:  
Nothing

Expected Results:  
Activated the ISP by connecting through the external modem 

The internet connection was configured correctly.  Correct ISP number and
name/password. /dev/ttySO is checked.
