(Keywords: hang)

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021029 Phoenix/0.4
Build Identifier:

When I drag&drop a mail (left mousebutton still pressed down) and an alert-box
appears at the same time (e.g. couldn't connect to mailserver xy) it is unable
to either drop the mail to a folder or acknoledge the alert box. The alert box
was highlighted but nothing happened if I click "ok" and I was also unable to
click anything else. I also tried to keep the left mousebutton down and be sure
I release it about a folder before I try to clock the aler message but still the
same. I was forced to kill Thunderbird via taskmanager. The dragged mail was
still in the old folder after a restart.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. configure an account that tries to poll a non-existing POP3 server. This will
generate an alert every time Thunderbird starts (a few seconds delayed)
2. stop and restart Thunderbird
3. drag a mail and keep holding the mouse button before the alert message appears

Actual Results:
Thunderbird "hangs", unable to click anything.

Expected Results:
Either cancel the drag&drop and display the alert or delay the alert until the
drag&drop is finished (left mousebutton released).

Vanilla Thunderbird 1.0
In such a situation try to hit the ESC key to break the hang. Mouse should work
after that.

I would say this is a duplicate of Bug 100180.
Yes, looks like bug #100180. Hitting "Esc" broke the hang.

Thx for the fast response.
