I get an assertion in my debug build, when I follow the step in the testcase.

Hmm, not only drag and drop is wrong, also typing with multiple text selection
goes wrong. Something similar seems to happen in that case.

Does Composer and/or nVu also have this problem?  Do textareas have the problem
when you type?

Yes, exactly the same problem. I get the same kind of assertion also.

I'm not sure what you mean here. But textarea's also exhibit the same mutiple
drag/drop problem this bug represents.
