User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1 I know there was a previous topic on that, except, they claim it to be resolved. However, I believe that resolution is unsatisifactory. (The system wouldn't let me change the status, so its currently says verified.) Their solution was to simply change the MIME for wav/midi to quicktime. However, that makes Quicktime the default player, and I don't think everyone wants that. For example, I still want winamp to be the default player for those sound files, not quicktime. I think some sort of resolution to this would be getting Firefox to get quicktime embed sound files to play regardless of MIME settings. IE does this, why can't firefox. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the Page 2. It'll say missing plugin, try to manually install quicktime/reboot 3. Still missing plugin 4. Make sure your mime settings for midi/wav are not for quicktime, but someother player, (ie winamp) Actual Results: Its missing the plugin :) Expected Results: Loaded a collapsed version of quicktime and played. We know that firefox is capable of loading quicktime, because it plays .mov files just fine. THis could also be seen as an enhancement request :)
What quicktime version do you have installed on our system?
(In reply to comment #1) > What quicktime version do you have installed on our system? The lastest. Remember? I installed the plugin like 20 times :)
