The maximize button on the main window is grayed out / unavailiable.  The
'Restore' and 'Maximize' options in the System menu are grayed out.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  Launch Thunderbird
2.  (Set main window in non-maximized state?)
3.

Actual Results:  
Maximize option unvavailable

Expected Results:  
Maximize option available

I see this too.

Matthew, if you ahve time can you try a build from the 9th, the 8th, etc. until
you find a build where this worked? Would help us narrow it down.

This worked in a build from the 9th  (20050309)

thunderbird -mail enables maximize, but thunderbird with no flags disables maximize.

make the flags used to open the window match those used by seamonkey in its
mail command line handler.
