this for only keeping files that TB uses : having a clean profile. This should
be used by people, firms, universities...

Just downloaded and installed Thunderbird today.

Migrating from Sept 2005 build of SeaMonkey system

Mail messages were NOT imported.
Custom mail folders were NOT created.
Mail filters were NOT created.

Address Book, POP3 account information WAS copied.

This needs to be fixed, but I need some help on what to do get my email back
More information regarding non-migration....

Used the Mboximport function as described in the knowlegebase.  This worked fine for the single level/standard folders (Inbox, Sent, etc.)

This did NOT work for archives with multiple subfloders.

It appears that someone left the subfloder details out of the external specs.  This is just a guess.

I've seen another Tb bug (with patching activity) on this subject but I cannot find it back.

AFAIK migration should work correctly from SeaMonkey/Mozila Suite. There isn't enough detail in this bug with respect to what was in the profiles, what exactly didn't work (for instance did the migration dialog display?).

Therefore I'm going to resolve this incomplete. Deb or others, please can you file new bugs if you think there are still issues with the latest version.
