After opening the Bookmarks dropdown menu and clicking on the Go dropdown menu,
Firefox, freezes/hangs.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on the Bookmarks dropdown menu.  (Bookmarks menu drops down correctly)
2. Click on Go dropdown menu  
3. Firefox freezes/hangs.  The hourglass is displayed instead of the cursor.

Actual Results:  
Firefox freezes/hangs.  The hourglass is displayed instead of the cursor.

Expected Results:  
Closed the Bookmark dropdown menu and opened the Go dropdown menu.

Myself and fellow web developers at BBC have the same issue - usually it occurs when firefox is first opened and it usually freezes for a several seconds particularly when bookmarks submenus open.

It's not unusual that the Go-menu takes a lot of time to display the history, when you have a large history.
I think this could be basically a duplicate of Bug 222717.
