Platform: Mozilla 1.0.4 on SUSE Linux 9.2 Just as here: I cannot drag bookmarks on the bookmarks folder. Under specific circumstances however I can see the bookmarks (and add new ones): When I start Firefox, I can't see my bookmarks in my bookmark toolbar. However, when I choose Manage Bookmarks, exit Firefox, and start it again, the bookmarks are displayed in the bookmark toolbar. How to repeat this bug. - Put links in the 'Bookmarks Toolbar Folder' - exit Bookmarks Manager - start Firefox 1.0.4 ->> no links - Choose bookmarks->manage bookmarks - exit Firefox (not the bookmarks manager) - restart Firefox ->> links in the bookmarks toolbar
follow the instructions to delete the localstore.rdf file in the Mozilla Suite : FAQs : Personal toolbar page. it worked for me.(In reply to comment #0) > User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1 > Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050223 Firefox/1.0.1 > > i added mail and bookmarks to my toolbar, when i try to drag and take them off > they will not come off toolbar. This solution worked for me: close all firefox windows and restart firefox in safe mode. Select only: "reset toolbars and controls" click on: "make changes and restart" this solved it for me..... I hope does work the same for you too...

This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME http://www.mozilla.com http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+mode

Thanks. This has been a long time ago but I do not know how to close a ticket or a question.
