286097 - wide attachment names cause wide subject line

I have a friend who regularly forwards me news stories from boston.com. He
probably does this via the "Send to a friend" links at the bottom of the
stories, since I get the full html page in my mailbox, and I know he uses
Firefox which no longer has the ability to "Send Page" (only "Send Link").

When these stories arrive, they include attachments at the bottom of the page
that have very long names. (They're probably for the images on the page.)
Somehow, the excessive length of these attachment names causes the Subject field
in the message list to become very wide, causing the Sender, Date and other
columns to disappear off the right edge of the list.

I have also seen cases where the message body itself has text that won't wrap
due to these long enclosure names. The only way to read these messages is to
attempt to reply to them and read them from within the message compose window.

I'll attached screen shots illustrating these problems.

Did you search before? Looks like bug 269246.
