User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050314
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050314

Page loads correctly then hangs when scrolling over half way down. Sometimes
resolves after several minutes. Uses all available processor cycles during the hang.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load page
2. Drag scroll bar to page bottom (or use scroll wheel)
3.

Actual Results:
Mac spinning pizza appears and application hangs. Other apps still work.

Expected Results:
Not hang.

The problem replicates in Firefox and the 14 Mar nightly of Mozilla with a clean
profile. Problem was originally reported on OS X Discussion List.

The symptoms are similar to bug 240310 - but different.
Keywords: hang
Version: unspecified → Trunk
Works on:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050313

Seems a frame source inaccurrate.
Two other user observations:
1. "Firefox had no trouble or delays in opening that page for me. There was even
a scrolling list of "other local productions" on the left side of the page.
The same in Mozilla, HOWEVER, when I left the browser to use another app and
then returned, it was difficult or impossible to scroll the page in both
Firefox and Mozilla with getting the spinning ball."
2. "I'm not sure what you guys are seeing, but that page appears fine to
me on both the Mac and PC versions of Firefox 1.0.1 that I have
installed. I'm not getting any SPOD problems."

I will try to carve time to do that. Thanks for the pointer.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

reproduction information if you have it.
