User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041217 Configuration:I have one POP mail account, Local Mail and Outlook Mail import. On looking at the Profile Folder I see that I have two other Pop Mail accounts in there (in the folder names) from previous configurations. I have some newsgroups subscribed to that I rarely use. I am on a DSL connection that checks for mail every 3 minutes. I have two rules set up already that are working fine whenever mail arrives. These rules move Mail to a folder off the Outlook Mail root. I set up another RUle and run it on the inbox. All inbox mail dissapears. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new rule moving inbox mail based on a word in the senders name (in this case Microsoft) and move it to another folder Outlook/Business/Microsoft. 2.Run the rule on the inbox. Actual Results: All inbox mail dissappears Expected Results: Moved only mail form Microsoft to the appropriate folder.
Please post the exact rule here. Are all mails moved to the destination folder or disappear all mails from inbox (and you can not find them anywhere)?
Summary: Create new rule. Run rule on inbox. All inbox mail dissapears. → Create new filter rule. Run filter on inbox. All inbox mail dissappears.
Version: unspecified → 1.7 Branch
Mike Doyle: If you created a rule to filter all mails with "Microsoft" in the header, all mails sent with Outlook would be affected by the filter. Perhaps that is what happened?

Looked over my rules again - all of them this time - and I had added a condition to a previous rule to move if message was read. Unfortunately I did not select "Match all of the following". As the rules are applied in real time when the message is received the "read" condition was never triggered. However when I added a new rule and ran all rules on the inbox, the "read" condition was triggered and all the messages were moved to another folder. Sorry for the touble.
