is this a regression, or a dupe of all the other "scrolling is jerky" bugs we have in mozilla?
I don't know this is a dupe of all the other "scrolling is jerky" bugs in mozilla, but at least Camino 2005012008 NB didn't have this problem.
a) The VersionTracker page isn't all that jerky for me. b) Could you test what happens on pages with a bunch of animations (GIFs/Flash/whatever) vs. one or none?
It seems for me this problem is frequently seen in the site with many GIF images.
wfm. nightry build 2005032421 (v0.8+)
I've never had a problem with VT in the past couple of weeks (currently using 3/21 nightly build).
1) Sorry, VT isn't an appropriate sample. 2) Go to http://www.sankei.co.jp/ 3) And please make a comparison between recent nightly builds and Camino 0.82.
wfm as of 2005032508
As far as example two, there is a slight lag, though I'm not sure if this is us or the OS because of the complex forign characters.
This also could be because of the ads on the page. Is that flash? Or just an animated GIF? Either way, this could cause a slowdown and both have been reported.
I don't know this is because of the ads on the page. But when scrolling is slow, Camino's CPU usage rate shoots up to 85 or 95%.
