Practically impossible to type in a text box with animations on it. (By that, I
do mean many, many animations, such as the animated smilies on forums.) I do
admit that I am on a slow computer (G3 500), but perhaps there is something that
can be done? The issue is dozens of times less severe in Safari.

Animation-induced slowness is really bug 280982; bug 272954 is about typing
*itself* being slow, even with no animation.
