Edit Pref is not clear. It should say "user preferences" like the window title
after you click on the footer link.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Severity: normal → trivial
OS: Windows XP → All
Hardware: PC → All
Summary: Rename Edit Pref → "Edit Pref" in the footer is unclear
Version: unspecified → 2.19.2
Suggest confirming.

I have to agree here, "Prefs" is too short. For most users it's the only thing
they see, so "User Preferences" sounds much better. Maybe it could be shortened
to "Prefs" for admins (or other users who have more items down there)?

This might not matter if the footer is revamped, but I'm not considering that
right now.
Agreed. "Prefs" is good for technical users, but all users should instead see
"Preferences." We spell out all the other footer options -- why not also spell
out the most common one?

rename "Prefs" to "My Preferences" and move it to first line!!
-> bug 286342
Assignee: myk → ui
We should also rename "User Preferences" to "Default Preferences."

I don't know where "Edit Prefs" is supposed to be displayed, but I cannot find it. I suppose this has been fixed.
