User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 1.0.3705)
Build Identifier: Firefox 1.0.1 from www.getfirefox.com

Firefox 1.0.1 (and older) installer won't allow installation to any other
drive than C:. If you try to enter a different path for installation,
installer garbages the installation path.

Always reproducible.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start Firefox Setup 1.0.1.exe
2. Choose custom installation
3. When prompted for installation path, click on Browse
4. Type "d:\Program Files\Firefox" to the "Browse for folder" dialog.
5. Click OK to proceed from Browse for folder dialog.
6. Now target installation folder is garbaged in previous dialog.

Actual Results:
The target folder becames C:\Documents and settigns\ ...al
Settings\Temp\7sS18B2.tmp

Expected Results:
The target folder should have been set to d:\Program Files\Firefox

Many users and organizations like to keep C: drive very clean and install all
applications to other drivers. If Firefox is not allowed to be installed to a
different drive (other than C:) many users are not able to use it.
This screen capture illustrates step-by-step on what happens when trying to
install Firefox to D drive.
