User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20040910 I am running a PC server with three nodes on the LAN. OS is WinXpPro. Proxy server is WinProxy. ZoneAlarm is functioning OK. All operations were normal till 3 or 4 days back. A problem has come up in the last four days as far as the NODES are concerned when they use Mozilla brower 1.7.5. There is no problem when Internet Explorer is used. When they visit www.google.com and obtain the search results, if they click on the hyperlinks shown in the search results page Mozilla browser does not direct them to the corresponding URL of the hyperlink. It takes them back to google.com. If they go to altavista.com or any other search engine, this does not happen. That means Winproxy is not the problem. The problem persists even when the firewall is switched off. The server does not face this problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to http://www.google.com 2.conduct a search for any item 3.Click on any result hyperlink in the page...it takes you back to www.google.com It happens only with my two nodes. Not with the main server. If I use Internet Explorer, there is no problem. WinProxy settings are OK. Actual Results: Instead of being directed to the URLs corresponding to the hyperlink, the nrowser takes me back to http://www.google.com Expected Results: It should take me the URLs correwsponding to the hyperlink. None

See Bug 278189 "Firefox randomly and frequently throws google home page and google error page while using proxy"
open preferences, Advanced-> HTTP Networking Set "Proxy Connection Options" to use HTTP 1.0 Delete cache Does the problem go away then?
