This makes my address book full of unwanted entries.
This should not be default behaviour.

Change the setting for Email Address Collection.

I already knew how to change this behaviour - what I was in mind was the matter
of DEFAULTS
please don't take this the wrong way, but the fact that you don't like the
default is not a bug...if everyone was going to be happy with the default, we
wouldn't provide a way to change the default.
