User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050222 Firefox/1.0.1 Build Identifier: version 1.0+ (20050316) The seder header has my name with some Lithuanian chars. Those are shown correctly in gmail and Oulook( Express) but Thunderbird seems to missunderstand a part of the UTF-8 encoding. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
There are two emails... first one is the one with Lithuanian chars shown wrong and second one (on the top) is email sent to myself with the first one attached to it. I wanted to see if those chars would be shown wrong when email was inlined.

The name in the header has somehow been encoded as two RFC-2047 encoded words, with a utf-8 multibyte sequence split between the two. =?utf-8?Q?Ma=C4=8Di=C5?==?utf-8?Q?=ABnas?= Technically this is invalid, (but maybe we want to be tolerant?): Each 'encoded-word' MUST encode an integral number of octets. The 'encoded-text' in each 'encoded-word' must be well-formed according to the encoding specified; the 'encoded-text' may not be continued in the next 'encoded-word'. Bug 227290 is a similar issue.

I'll see if it's possible to be tolerant.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
