User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050225 Firefox/1.0.1 The downloaded themes and extensions still appear in the TOOLS>THEMES and TOOLS>EXTENSIONS windows but are no longer available from the Bookmark Toolbar, the CUSTOMIZE window or the context menu. Other customizations still appear where they were put, such as the standard PRINT and BOOKMARKS. Partial list of extensions affected: Forecast Fox, Adblock, Foxy Tunes, USDHS Idiot Level, I Must Not Fear!, Image Zoom, IEView, Live Bookmark This, Spoofstick, Quicknote.... List of Themes: Noia Extreme. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Click on Updates Available (upper right portion of browser usually) 2.Download and install update to jslib lite 3.Restart the Firefox browser. Actual Results: Lost access to all downloaded themes and extensions Expected Results: Updated the jslib lite library. No other changes to anything. I have installed FF on every windows pc i have serviced since 0.9 (around 125 stations). Most of my customers will not understand a bug nor will they understand the open source development process. I classify this as a major bug because of the impact on less technically inclined users of FF, who will simply close the FF browser and go looking for that little e.

after rebuilding ff1.0.1 with same extensions and themes i cannot reproduce this bug. when trying to install update for jslib through the update function in TOOLS>OPTIONS>ADVANCED it appears that the update (jslib 0.1.272) is being installed, reports that the update has been installed, but after restarting the browser the extensions still lists jslib lite 0.1.234. Searching for the update again reveals the update is reported as available. The auto update button which appears on the menu bar operates as i have described here, appears to update but does not. this is occuring on a system that has never seen any version of ff except 1.0.1, mozilla thunderbird 1.0, no other mozilla or netscape products. 1st install including winXPsp2 fully patched on clean hard drive 8 days ago. i will begin looking for this bug on other systems tomorrow(sat 19 march) leaving critical until i check repro of bug tomorrow

Yea, I'm sorry about this guys, this was a mistake on my part. I was removing the user chrome.rdf at install time because I want jsLib to be a forced global install. Turns out Firefox doesn't regenerate this file like the chrome.rdf is always regenerated in global chrome. Also, turns out user chrome is used over global chrome. So if you have a user chrome install of jsLib and the later version global chrome install, the older user chrome is used by Firefox instead of global chrome.
