Using 3/18 trunk builds. Try opening an attachment. The helper app dialog comes up, then hit ok. Note that the attachment never actually opens.

it's interesting but the first time i open an attachment it works fine. All subsequent attempts to open it during the same session (when the attachment is coming from the memory cache) fail to actually do anything.

It is maybe related - forwarding inline a message with attached image caused "permission denied" error. Replying was fine.

Bug started with the (20050316) trunk build ...

I accidentally checked in code that removed the download manager registration when I landed Bug #286282.
