At the web page http://www.mozilla.org/roadmap.html there is some Suite-related
information. For instance, at the section "what all this does not mean", the
second paragraph states: "We are not retiring the SeaMonkey application suite,
or its XPFE front end, in the foreseeable future."

However, according to http://www.mozilla.org/seamonkey-transition.html, the
development of The Suite is discontinued, at least at MoFo's side. Therefore the
statement mentioned is void.

[What a pity that the only browser targeted for advanced users is finally going
to be killed...]

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Your perception is not quite correct. The Mozilla Foundation has stopped work on
the suite, and therefore its employees will not be producing any releases beyond
the 1.7.x line. However, mozilla.org will still continue development on the
Seamonkey code; in this case, new releases will have to be done by someone other
than MoFo (and therefore without using the MoFo trademarks).
Well, if my perception is not /quite/ correct, what could then the following
citation from the section "a new roadmap" mean:

"2. Updated: Continue to perform sustaining maintenance, including security
updates, on the SeaMonkey application suite's *final stable branch (1.7.x)* for
enterprises and other organizations with large existing Mozilla deployments"?

Note the word "final"...
The development of the Suite will continue with security updates to the 1.7
branch. The roadmap will be updated soon. This bug isn't of any particular value.
