User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; NetBSD i386; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20050228 Firefox/1.0 StumbleUpon/1.9992 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; NetBSD i386; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20050228 Firefox/1.0 StumbleUpon/1.9992 I would like to save certificates of encrypted web sites to examine them manually. However, firefox does not allow it. Also exporting certificates once imported/accepted into Firefox could be useful. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to an encrypted web site 2. Try to search for its certificate in Firefox. It cannot be saved from page info and it is not even visible in certificate manager in preferences (probably because it was not accepted permanently). Actual Results: No way to extract certificates froim Firefox using the ui. Expected Results: Saving certificates should be possible
Yep, it's the same with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6

Does anyone still see this with the latest builds of Firefox 2 or 3? I seem to be able to view the certificate, but not save it with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9a7pre) Gecko/2007071604 Minefield/3.0a7pre.

In comment #2, I've tested with <https://mail.yandex.ru>; the URL in the bug doesn't load. Nothing has been added to Edit→Preferences→Advanced→Encryption→View certificates→Web sites. There is also an older bug 231468, resolved WFM.

Still cannot save the certificate of the site on the original URL.
This should be marked as a duplicate of either bug 161275 or bug 315871, I'd say.

yes, if the patch that allows exporting certificates from cert viewer is applied this issue is addressed.
