Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050319 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050319 My personal address book has 5 subgroups (mailing lists). A single click on four of the groups show its respective members; a double click reveals the "Mailing List" dialog box with the same info. But one group (of 10 people) appears empty; however a double click on this 'empty' group brings up the "Mailing List" box where I can see all 10 members. This problem didn't exist in previous versions of Mozilla (I've had many). I can't see any reason why the members of this group don't appear with a single click. An .ldif export of the 'empty' group yields a file of zero bytes. Let me know if I can provide any other info. (And thanks for fixing the export function in 1.7.6) Reproducible: Always

I would expect that this is due to a bug whereby the mailing lists don't show all cards in the address book pane due to a blank email address in the mailing list. Though I don't think this had changed between 1.7.5 and 1.7.6. This sounds like a duplicate of bug 276374 that was submitted against thunderbird. Reporter, please can you have a look at bug 276374 and see if you think that is your problem.

No, this isn't the same as 276374 for there you would see a card icon without a name next to it. Here, a single click on a group icon shows nothing in the RH pane - RH pane totally blank

Adding qawanted keyword, This needs confirming and a possible explanation as to what causes the failure.
Keywords: qawanted

Bennet: Do you see any errors in the JS Console? Do you have any idea what is special about the one list that doesn't work? Can you try one of the older builds again that did work? If you export your addressbook and import it into a new profile, does it still exhibit the same behavior?

From further email conversation from reporter (sorry for the delay in reading the response): >Thank you; you've hit the nail on the head. The last icon had no name next to it. > I deleted it and now a single click will show the members in the RH pane. Much obliged for your assistance. Therefore, marking as a duplicate of bug 276374. If there is disagreement with this, please re-open with reasons why. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 276374 ***
