Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2

The "Use Firefox Start as My Home Page" checkbox is checked by default in the
installer. If the user does not explicitly uncheck the box, their home page(s)
will be overwritten. I have 6 home pages, and it's frustrating to have to
recreate them when I forget to uncheck this box.

A less tech-savvy user might not even know what to do to keep it from
overwriting their home pages, and so might avoid updating FF after a few
incidents, or just go back to IE.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Installer
2.Accept Defaults, including leaving the "Use Firefox Start" checkbox checked.
3.Restart Firefox. Your home page(s) is(are) gone.

Actual Results:
Firefox Start was my home page, and my 6 home pages I had previously had to be
recreated.

Expected Results:
The checkbox should not be on by default, at least when upgrading from a
previous version.

This is reproducible on every Windows machine I've updated FF on.
