User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2

Much as we adore firefox, few of us have a need to visit the firefox home page
so frequently that we want it to be or start page! The default action during
install/upgrade should be to leave the start page unchanged, not change it to
the firefox start page. The basic prinicple of defaults should be "do no harm".
Changing the start page by default is the kind of thing I expect from
Microsoft, Yahoo and Real -- companies that think they own your PC -- not
Mozilla.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install any version of firefox
2. Or install any update to firefox
3.

Actual Results:
The default installer action is to change the user's start page to Firefox,
this is easily missed during install.

Expected Results:
Default action should be to (i) if the user is an existing firefox user, leave
the current start page unchanged (ii) if this is a new install, import the
existing home page from a recognized browser (typically IE) (iii) if no other
browser is installed, set the start page to firefox
Yes, I had this problem also, update from 1.01 --> 1.02 reset my home page to
firefox default.. pc version
