I get the same after an upgrade on Fedora Core 3 using up2date.

we haven't been able to reproduce this. do you have any themes or extensions installed?

another possibility: what locale(s) exhibit this problem? this wasn't a problem for me and tracy, but we were using en-US.

I had made an update since about one hour using yum. An update has been released for FC3 and it works fine now. PS: i'm new here: should we now change the bug-resolution to FIXED?

I have only the default theme. I use en-US. I have enigmail installed.

Sorry, the FC3 rpm released today did fix it for me after all (thunderbird-1.0.2-1.3.2.i386.rpm). This one wasn't posted to Redhat's server when I posted my earlier comment.

Yes. I confirm the bug is fixed with the last yum update (thunderbird-1.0.2-1.3.2).
