Details

geturl.exe doesn't seem to notice when it gets 404 errors.. would it be 
possible to add an optional third parameter (after url and filename) for a file 
to put the headers in?

last time i downloaded a windows binary nightly build, it came with a program 
called "geturl.exe" (in the bin\ directory, with everything else)

(build #2000022108 = 2000 02 21 08)

bug 26238 also refers to geturl.exe.

I think geturl.exe is Made In Mail/News... not sure what that is for. If you are 
trying to just download a URL and catch HTTP headers consider TestProtocols.exe.

Sorry, but geturl.exe is just a test harness program that I put together a long 
time ago for some other development work. Feel free to have at the source 
(mozilla/mailnews/compose/tests/geturl), but its really not part of any 
official distribution and I won't be able to put the time into changing it.
