After Upgrading from this version of Java to the latest version VNC does not
load the JAVA Applet. Tried to set Java to work with Mozilla. Error is: Cannot
set due to security. Make sure you have permision to set. After rolling XP back
to this version of Java VNC Applet loads correctly.

Upgraded to J2SE 5.0 using the automatic update feature.

where did the error message come from? java or browser?

does your upgraded jre work with any other applets?

I checked my current version of Java in the control panel and it also will not
let me set the browser to mozilla, so this is not the problem though I don't
understand why it won't let me set it. And The problem is that the VNC input
screen does not come up. The status windows shows "Done", but leaves a blank
window. It still works in IE after upgrade. example =  http://<PC name>:5800. I
only have one XP system on my network so I cannot test the problem on other
systems. Have you been able to reproduce the results? Do you need more
information about my system?

Mass-closing bugs in the "OJI" component: OJI plugin integration was replaced with npruntime long ago, and these bugs appear to be irrelevant now. If there is in fact a real bug that remains, please file it new in the "Core" product, component "Plug-ins".
