I've saved a search on an IMAP server for "label is foopy" where foopy is a
custom label I've applied to a number of emails in my inbox. The saved search
folder displays as empty even though there are emails that match that criteria.
I've tested on today's trunk build using windows XP. I've tested with the
default labels and custom labels and I've tested search online and not. This
fails in all tests.

Hi,
I have the same problem, only I didn't alter the labels at all. I created a
saved search on a label (e.g. Label is Todo) and highlighted Search Online. For
weeks it worked fine, but suddenly the Saved Search folder doesn't want to
search anymore, it just doesn't do anything. Removing it and creating a new one
didn't help at all. This bug is present in version 1.0 as well as 1.0.2

It appears that, at some point, searching by label in IMAP folders was removed
from Thunderbird for some strange reason.
Another user complained in the forums, here:
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=234661
The user in the above post lists the extensions that he has installed, thinking
that they might be the source of his problem, but this is unlikely to be a cause
because I have one extension installed and it is different from the ones he has.
I have this problem as well, it shows up in Portable Thunderbird 1.0.
Why was the "label" search critera removed? We want it back!
Please see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=217034#c11 for a
possible workaround to this problem.

I've tested this a little more with TB 1.0+0803, Win2K. It seems to be working
pretty consistently. I was seeing some balkiness when returning the Inbox with
a label-based MailView, but that was always rectified by selecting All and then
reselecting the MailView.
Asa, are you still seeing this bug?
