after bug 267227 was fixed it would be logical if the help button in e.g. Bookmarks Manager would open Help with a bookmarks related subject. This would be for: -Bookmarks manager -Dom Inspector -Download manager -Extension Manager -Javascript console -Options -Theme manager (not sure about findbar, popup notification bar and plugin notification bar) For a number of items the helpfile does not exist yet.
Hm, what i've added in bug 267227 is a global help menu, not a help button. If this bug is about having an option to define which help topic would be opened form Help->[help contents] for a particular window, then it'll only apply to windows which already have menus (DOMi, BM etc.) We already have a bug or two about contextual help in general.
Target Milestone: --- → Firefox1.1
The "Help Contents" menu item relates to the main page. We might consider a "Help" item, in addition or instead of "Help Contents", which would open a doc specific to the window. But we don't have docs on Bookmarks, nor View Source, nor DOMi, so we don't need to think about this right now. Other dialogs like EM, TM, JS Console, Page Info, Options don't have a menu, so that's not an option there either. What I do plan to implement are Help buttons in a number of dialogs, especially Options. That's bug 260054. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 260054 ***
