I was stupid enough to install 1.0.2 and 1.0.1 firefox "update" from 1.0
as root and all cyrillic is treashed for all users on my system:
cyrillic characters are displayed as boxes with 2x2 codes in them.
Did firefox[installer?] trash my systemwide locale settings?
I hope I won't have to reinstall Slackware because of your "fix" 1.0.1

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Point a browser to a site with cyrilic: for example yandex.ru
2. Set character set to Cyrillic-kpi8
3. Observe the trash displayed by firefox

Actual Results:  
I observed garbage.

Expected Results:  
I expected to see cyrillic letters.

Locale setting:
 set|grep LANG
LANG=en_US
