There should be the possible to calculate Easter automatically, rather to have
to set it manually for every year.

Also consider that many feasts in many countries are dependant on Easter (also
see Bug 220729 Comment #1 ).

Reproducible: Always
Summary: You can't set Easter → Easter should be calculated automatically
Reporter:
Please see bug 242499 comment #4 regarding this request. Unfortunately, I
think it may need to be marked WONTFIX.
If the problem is that Mozilla Calendar / Sunbird must comply with RFC 2445,
then this is obviously a deficiency of such RFC which should be superseded by a
new one that would include new features as formulae.

Even though this is not the right place to discuss about new RFCs, it is
probably where the first step, the idea, could start. After all, in the past,
innovations introduced -- for example -- in browsers were eventually officially
accepted (think about frames).

When you feel something useful is missing, then innovation is needed. Otherwise
would be like the motto "ipse dixit" ("He said") became popular in the Middle
Age, to state that something has to be done in a certain way because classic
Greek/Roman authors said that.
implementing the current rfc is problematic enough. lets not add even more...
(or it must simplify the current rfc, but that would create interop problems
with other clients)
Valerio,
Do you have a problem with this bug being marked as a duplicate of bug
242499? Easter is included in the bug's main description.
