User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2 the scrolling mouse on my laptop's touchpad doesn't function in the web page contents, only from the scroll bar. this is limited to within the firefox application itself and all the sites i visit. Works fine outsite of this program. I do have the latest update on my mouse/scroll, and it does work on the scroll bar, just not within the web page/browser page itself. It is a Synaptics PS/2 port touchpad with latest driver. laptop is new Compaq Presario x1000cto. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open a browser page and try to use the scrolling mouse, no go 2.manually put the pointer on the scrollbar and it works. takes time. 3. Actual Results: 1. scroll indicator shows up on screen but no movement of mouse Expected Results: mouse should have scrolled within the page itself, not only on scrollbar THANK YOU!
This is usually a bug in the mouse driver itself (it doesn't matter if it works in other applications) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 20618 ***
