User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; Maxthon; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041206 Thunderbird/1.0
If you enter international characters (such as Korean) in both events and
tasks, the characters will get broken, that is it gets displayed as a question
mark, when you close and reopen the calendar application.
I have not set up publishing, so this doesn't seem to be related to publishing.
This occurs if the text does not end with an ASCII (0-127) character.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1) Create a new Task with international characters, but make sure it does not
end with an ASCII (0-127) character.
2) Close calendar and reopen.
Actual Results:
The task text will have something like
????? Some english text ????
Expected Results:
actual text

Bug 173039 has been opend in 2002 and this bug has not been fixed. Is there any
change that it will get fixed some time soon? I would really love to use Mozila
calendar, but without this bugfix using this product would be fairly dangerous
as the data entered gets corrupted.
Thanks.
