288005 - Thunderbird discards @ part from login name

I've got a new mail account, on a server that hosts multiple domains. The
accounts are of the form username@domainname.

When trying to get new mail, I'm getting messages from the server for a wrong
password (Sending of password did not succeed) and then for a wrong username
(Sending of username did not succeed).

When checking the saved passwords, Thunderbird seems to only "remember" the
username part and completely ignores and discards the @domainname.

Reproducible: Always

Is there an easy way to get the connection transcript from the release build, or
should I get a nightly and try?

Well, it was not the @ part... At least not the real reason for the problem...

Thunderbird does not save the part after @ when in the same account the username
is changed from one of the form "username" to one of the form "username@domainname".

Anyways, installed a sniffer and attaching a transcript of the POP3 conversation
between my Thunderbird & the server. There has been some time since the last
time I've read the specification, so there are some things I'm missing...
