I have just started to use Firefox after using Safari. My movement around web
pages is being slightly hampered as I'm used to using the command-page up
combination to get to the top of a page and the command-page down to get to the
bottom of the page. I can use the command-home combination to go to the previous
page and the command-end to got to the next page. This is just my preference for
surfing and I was wondering if there is way to make this happen already?

Reproducible: Always
I'm sorry its getting late for me... and I was up very early this morning... but
what exactly is the problem... you feel the key bindings should mimic what
safari does?

cmd-page up/down works as expected right?
cmd end/home doesn't work as expected right?

I'm on an iBook so key bindings always seem strange...

> cmd-page up/down works as expected right?

No cmd-page up/down does nothing at all. I've always used these keys in Safari and it's frustrating to
have to move over to the scroll bar and manually move the page up and down to the top or bottom of
the page. I love this browser but that is the one thing that I wish would work for me because it's just
where my fingers always go while I'm surfing. I don't feel that the keys HAVE to mimic Safari but it
would nice if there was a way that it could.

> cmd end/home doesn't work as expected right?

these keys do work as expected.
Ah...

It was late, does page up/down work with out a modifer?
Page up/down DOES work without a modifier. Command-page up in Safari takes you right to the top of
the page and Command-page down takes you right to the bottom of the page. I can scroll down with
those keys with no problem but if I was on a very long page in Safari and wanted to get to the top of
that page, without continuing to press the page up key, I could just use command-page up and get
there.
Without modifers:
Page up/down moves the page up or down one line at a time.
Home does nothing.
End does nothing..

Command-home goes back one page.
Command-end goes forward one page.
Command-page up/down does nothing.
Something must be wrong with your profile/setup then.... as

page down goes down one page
page up goes up one page
home goes to the top
end, well, end goes to the end

I would suggest trying a new profile... that might do the trick. Unless,
unlikely, its an aviary issue.
Okay, I tried a new profile and the same thing happened. BUT, in playing around a bit more with other
keys I've just noticed that if I use the fn key on my powerbook I will do the following:

fn-page up = one page up
fn-page down = one page down
fn- home = top of the page
fn-end = bottom of the page

So, I'l have to get used to using those combinations.
glad it now works... the fn key is the function key that grants you access, on
powerbooks and ibooks alike, to the page functions on the arrow keys or the
enter on the return key.

It looks as if Safari makes cmd-up to mimic page up... btw to page down I prefer
to use the space bar.
