In the page at http://edoras.ucsd.edu/eritrea.php , the Ethiopic characters are
being pushed down so that they overlap with the word "Eritrea." Inline examples
are also on the same page at http://edoras.ucsd.edu/eritrea.php#bandiera and
http://edoras.ucsd.edu/eritrea.php#nakfa where the Ethiopic characters should be
on the same line as the Roman characters. Using OS 10.2.8 and it displays
properly in other browsers (Safari 1.0.3) on the same machine and with other
browsers on other platforms (Firefox on Win XP, IE on Win XP).
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. close and relaunch browser
2. visit site
3. view misaligned characters
Actual Results:
Same thing.
Expected Results:
Displayed the text of the Ethiopic characters on the same level as the other text.
The Ethiopic characters display at the right position for me in both a recent
nightly 2005032708 (0.8+) and in 0.8.2 on 10.3.7.
Can you check a recent nightly build to see if you still have the problem? And
if so, perhaps Firefox 1.0.2 as well? This sounds like it might be a
10.2.x-only problem....
Closing as WFM.
