Do we have an e-mailing list to alert people about updates, including
security-related updates? Only quite by chance did I find out that FF 1.0.2
existed at all. As far as auto-updates are concerned, that is harder and not
really necessary. Especially, auto-updates would be likely to cause trouble for
dailup users such as myself.

The e-mailed alerts would tell the non-geeks among us a bit about how to get and
install the updates.

The first URL already exists, and has for a few years.  It's scheduled to move to the second URL soon (but hasn't moved yet).  There's no change in function, only location.
