User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2

if enter in the form: th
then dropdown menu appears of autofill manager. then i click on necessary item
(thomas*) and then click on form's sending button. server recieves in logs "th"
value, not "thomas*" as it was expected.

this happens right after form is loaded for the first time. next times form
submitting is working correct. (my form performs sending into another frame).

bug is actual on FF 1.0.1/1.0.2

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. write a seach keyword into the textfield not to the end (f.e. "th")
2. select from the autofill list complete necessary keyword (f.e. "thomas*")
3. submit this form to the server and get listing of variables' values in request

Actual Results:
i found "th" not a "thomas*" as i was expecting in request' variables list.

Expected Results:
send in request "thomas*"

i have checked also login to gmail.com account. this works in this way too also.
I couldn't reproduce this with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8b2)
Gecko/20050329 Firefox/1.0+

I tried as many ways of selecting the item from the dropdown and submitting the
form as I could think of. I did this with a bare-bones test HTML page and with
Gmail as you suggested. Firefox submitted the entire contents of every field
every time as expected.
