Copy-and-pasting a raw image page yields inapproprate text

If I visit an image URL, say http://icculus.org/~aspirin/pic/dsc00136.jpg and then drag-select the image in question, pasting the resulting text results in the text: 'The image http://icculus.org/~aspirin/pic/dsc00136.jpg cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.' being pasted. This seems really inappropriate. The expected result is a blank paste-string, or perhaps simple the raw URL of the image in question.

See Bug 279270 "When right-clicking images, "copy image" copies the image location, not the image", though I am not sure that this applies to your platform and version.

Yeah, I don't think that's relevant (pretty sure there isn't even a standard way to copy images under X11, though that would probably be the right thing to do if there was).
