User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050321 Firefox/1.0.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050321 Firefox/1.0.2
If I try to print the page at http://www.vldb2005.org, Firefox 1.0.2 crashes.
(Netscape 7.1 as well!) The print menu works fine. I have tried to use different
printers . Firefox crashes as well when I only try to open the print preview.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open http://www.vldb2005.org
2. Print the page.
Actual Results:
Firefox 1.0.2 crashed
Expected Results:
Page print.
I re-installed FireFox 1.0.2 to be sure that Talkback was activated. After
nothing different from before happened, I tried to start Talkback myself.
Although Talkback told me it would be running, I did not get a message in
Talkback after any crash.
Only after deactivating all plugins ("Minimize to Tray 0.0.1.20041101+",
"Mozilla Calendar 0.8.2+" and "MediaPlayerConnectivity 0.2.0") and starting in
"--safe-mode", Talkback was started! It did not start when I only deactivated
the plugins or when I only started in "--safe-mode". I had to do both.

Timotheus Preisinger - You can download the most recent nightly build (very
stable, currently derived from 1.2.0) from this website:
http://www.mozilla.org/developer/
If you are still having this problem after updating Firefox, please comment back
and tell us so.
Thank you.

I get a crash on any description page, regardless of which estate agent.
I have seen this on '98, 2000 and XP with a variety of different printer drivers.

Additionally, on one occasion when printing to a PDF generator program the
following log was generated:

The original site (http://www.vldb2005.org) works for me too.
I take back by comment about all agents failing, the following page works for
me:
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-5673794.rsp?pa_n=false&tr_t=buy&ep=via_sl
The page uses CSS, so I wonder if this is related to Bug #266681?

I see this same problem with firefox 1.0.6 when I try to print or print preview
ANY recipe from the following website:
http://magazines.ivillage.com/marieclaire/frenchdiet/
However I do not encounter the problem with the website submitted by the
reporter of this bug.
An error I see when I try to print in the terminal used to invoke firefox is:
Trying to position a sizeless window; caller should have called sizeToContent()
or sizeTo(). See bug 75649.

WFM - neither http://magazines.ivillage.com/marieclaire/frenchdiet/ nor
http://www.vldb.org/ crash for me with trunk builds of suite and FF, for example
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20050905
Firefox/1.6a1

Everyone using the 1.8 branch or newer has reported that this behavior no longer
exists and the original reporter hasn't responded to comment 2 in 9 months.
