unique SMTP account settings getting changed to "default server"

When a specific SMTP account setting is selected for use with a specific
account, the SMTP selection gets changed to the "default server" selection, by
itself.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Bring up Mozilla mail
2.highlite an account name
3.under "accounts" choose "view settings for this account"
4.The "Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings" window pops up
5.on the right side of the window about 2/3 down the window is a line
"Outgoing Server (SMTP):" where you can make a selection of which
SMTP server you desire to use with this account.
6. Select something "other" than the "Default Server"
7. Click "OK"
8. You are now back to the screen where you chose to view settings.
9. highlite the inbox of the account you have been working with and CLICK the
"Get Messages Button"
10. After the Get Messages operation completes highlite the account name again
11. click the "view settings for this account"
12. THIS TIME THE SMTP SERVER CHOICE IS STILL the one chosen
13. Click "OK" to take you back to the account page again.
14. Once again highlite the "inbox" and click the "get Messages Button"
15. Once again click the "view settings for this account"
16. This time, the SMTP SERVER HAS CHANGED to the "Default Server" setting
Actual Results:
My choice for the Outgoing SMTP server for an account is switched to the
"Default Server" choice.
Expected Results:
My choice of what Outgoing SMTP SERVER I want with a particular account should
NOT change !
It does not matter which or how many accounts I choose a "non default" selection
for my Outgoing SMTP Server, all of my choices get changed to "Default Server".
This is a real problem as some of my accounts reject mail that looks like it is
being sent from some other source, which it really is when the default SMTP
account is being used to send instead of the selected smtp account
