If there's an entry in my palm address book that doesn't have an email address,
synching with my palm will delete that entry.

seriously, only sometimes?  I'd think something like this would happen always. 
There is no discernable pattern to the items that get deleted?

Sorry, after so long without any response to this report, I stopped using my
palm with thunderbird, so I can't answer your question any more.

Resolving Invalid as I believe there is not enough information to be able to 
debug this. If you can reproduce and give us more information, please feel free 
to reopen this bug or file a new one.
