Hi, there is another registration bug for Serbian - bug 283456. The only diference is that it is for Serbia and Montenegro. If the Serbian language is not different in (Serbia and Montenegro) and (Bosnia and Herzegovina) I would sugegst you to join together and form one Serbian localization team.

Sale wrote me in email: I read your sugestion about joining to Serbian team (bug 283456) and because the languages in (Serbia) and (Bosnia) are the same I will ask them to join so this bug can be closed. --- Based on these information, I'm closing this bug.

This bug should not be marked as Wontfix. Information that closing is based is not entirely accurate and does not reflect needs of users Serbian is one language, but as there is English in UK, USA/Ca, Australia, etc, so there are differences between Serbian in Serbia, Montenegro, Republika Srpska (Bosnia), Croatia, etc. Differences between Serbian dialects are much more important and evident in every sentence then in english. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Serbo_croatian_languages2006.png So we have 2 alphabets (Cyrilic, Latin) and 2 language variants (Ekavian and Iekavian) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ijekavian#The_yat_reflexes That reflect need for additional translation variant. (Iekavian is even older) So idea of supporting official Serbian language in current Bosnia and Herzegovina, should have an open bug for making sr-BA available. (in Cyrilic and Latin alphabets), in the same way, there is sr-RS. Maybe sr-BA could be made out of existing sr-RS translation, but it is up to translators for that Serbian dialect to choose.
Registration bugs are a combination of language and volunteer. For some bugs, reusing a bug across volunteers is a good idea, but not for this one. Reopening this one doesn't help in any way compared to opening a new bug. Firefox is software, thus implementation details do matter, too. The data given here doesn't really convince me that the variants really have something to do with Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Serbia, either. Given the history of the region, I'd be highly surprised if there was a strong cut. The community around the Serbian localization should become stronger still, too. Thus my hope would be that people interested in making Firefox in Serbian stronger would join that community and do so, and once the team is strong enough to lift multiple versions and maintain those, take on new efforts. For the record, that's what Milos did. He entered lobbying for a Latin-script version, and still does. That didn't keep him from lifting some good chunk of the Firefox 3.6 localization for sr in Cyrillic script. All in all, this bug can well stay on WONTFIX.
