User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050327 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050327 Thunderbird/1.0+ There is a way to create an IE style desktop icon that would improve Thunderbird's accessibility for end users. This is a campanion bug to bug 264889 that has been filed for Firefox. For more details, see: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=138033 http://gemal.dk/blog/2004/11/05/firefox_thunderbird_and_sunbird_desktop_shortcuts/ If implemented it would be good to be able to show or hide the icon per user under Thunderbird's options. The attached file contains the registry entries where that is controlled. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:

Why the need for this? Just choose not to create a desktop icon when installing.
