User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050330 Firefox/1.0+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050330 Firefox/1.0+ After opening a PDF file in a tab and creating a new tab, I can't open any URL in this new tab: Firefox loads the page in the previous tab (used for the PDF). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open a PDF file in any tab 2.Create a new tab (it comes in foreground) Actual Results: The location bar still contains the URL of the PDF file. When you click on a bookmark or enter an URL in the location bar, it loads in the tab where the PDF file was displayed. Then tabbrowsing behaviour becomes very abnormal (closing the 2nd of 3 tabs is impossible, closing the 2nd of 2 tabs makes the 1st disappear but the 2nd stays...). Expected Results: The location bar should be empty. The bookmark or the given URL should be open in the new (and current) tab. I'm under Win XP Pro 2002 SP2 and using Accrobat 5.0.1. All Firefox extensions are unactive.
I see the same behavior, though I'm not sure of all of the abnormal behavior. If I open *another* empty tab, I can use the new tab sometimes, or close it again. Another fact: If I switch to another, non-pdf tab, I can then open new tabs the work correctly. But if I then switch back to the PDF/Adobe plugin tab, *and click in the document*, an new tabs I create again have the PDF file URL in the address bar, with the same behavior described by the original reporter. Firefox version: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050411 Firefox/1.0+ Windows version: Windows 2000 SP4, 5.00.2195 Adobe Reader version: 6.0.2 5/18/2004
I can reproduce this
(In reply to comment #2) > I can reproduce this Sorry forgot to mention Adobe Acrobat File name: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\browser\nppdf32.dll Adobe Acrobat Plug-In Version 7.00 for Netscape Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050429 Firefox/1.0+
Confirmed against 20050528 build.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050629 Firefox/1.0+ I have also noticed this kind of problem occuring with Java applications. For instance with the rpg game at www.runescape.com.
experienced this bug with build 20050531 also, any hotkey-action is assigned to the acrobat tab (ctrl-p, ctrl-t, ctrl-w, ..) deerpark also opens URLs that were entered in any older tab in the acrobat-tab

With the released Firefox 1.5 I am no longer seeing this bug. Hurray!
